My Story

I'm Jin, owner of In Lash Heaven.  Thank you for stopping by.  I want to get to know you a little better but in order to do that, I want you to know more about me.

 

In my early 30's, I was diagnosed with severe hair loss.  What started as a few small bald spots was eventually diagnosed as early stages of Alopecia.    Alopecia is a disease that develops when the body attacks its own hair follicles (where hair grows from), which can cause hair loss anywhere on the body. The hair loss tends to be unpredictable. Hair may regrow without treatment. This happens more often when someone has a few bald patches. When the hair regrows, it may fall out again—or it may not.

Due to this auto-immune disease, hair, eyebrows, and lashes suffered.   Before this, I always cut my hair in short styles, then let it grow out, then "big chop" back to its natural state.  It was a fun and creative time to be free!  Whether short or long, I enjoyed my hair so much. A woman's mane is truly her crown.   They say, "You never know how much you miss something until it's gone." Honestly, this really applies to losing your hair in a capacity out of your control.  

After the tears, shame, and sorrow, I had to get back up.  I coached myself on how to be the most beautiful me and feel comfortable in my skin again.  Do I still struggle with hair loss?  Yes, but, I have since found a dermatologist that has helped me medically slow the process down and retain my hair. I am grateful to have caught it early.

 I started In Lash Heaven because since losing my hair, lashes have been a big part of helping me rebuild my confidence.  Lashes drastically made a difference in my appearance.  I experimented with different styles, lengths, and dimensions.  This feeling was invigorating.  I loved that I could customize my look tailored to what I was doing or where I was going, and I wanted to share this experience with others.

The lash experience does not only pertain to those suffering from hair loss.  This can be applied to anyone who wants to complement their look no matter the occasion. 

Since launching, In Lash Heaven has organically grown into a business that enhances all things beauty. I am so happy to share my journey with you all. I am committed to introducing you to a range of services and products that will help you feel land look your best.
